American pop superstar and 2002 American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, has graced the shores of the Motherland as she continues on her worldwide ALL I EVER WANTED Tour, which kicked off on February 5, 2010, in Ireland.
The 27-year-old Already Gone singer landed in Johannesburg on Monday, 8 February, just a couple of days before her first performance at the Coca-Cola Dome. This is the first time that Miss Clarkson is visiting South Africa and Africa as a whole. Durban fans might be able to spot her, as there is a possibility that she might go visit the local markets. Cape Town’s best tourist attractions- Table Mountain and Robyn Island-might also get a visitation from the talented superstar.
The double Grammy Award winning superstar released her latest album, All I Ever Wanted, on this day last year. Her South African fans will most definitely be in luck as they will be able catch her fresh as she celebrates the anniversary of this great album. Not only is Kelly one of America’s top singers, but she is also an inspiration to the many youth of the world. Coming from a family that struggled financially, she was able to use her God given abilities from an early age, and now we cannot wait for the multi platinum singer-songwriter to make us boogie-down in the three cities she is scheduled to perform in . She has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and is also ranked on the top 200 album sellers of Nielsen SoundScan era at number 187. The response from her South African fans has been fantastic as all three of her South African shows are almost sold out.
