Maxwell took an eight year hiatus from music but returned with the critically acclaimed Blacksummer’s Night – which is up for six GRAMMY nominations. The “Bad Habits” singer told us what the recognition means to him.
"To come back and make a record based on my own living experiences and not my desire to be number one or in the business, so to speak, and to have this kinda reception, its like I feel like I’ve already won. So if nothing comes from this, it’s been truly the cherry on top of the cake for me, I’m truly grateful beyond words.”

-To date, the singer’s album has sold over 967-thousand copies of Blacksummer’s Night.
