According to Wooha.com, Soulja Boy has reportedly completed his first book, Teenage Millionaire. The rapper is remaining mum as to what the storyline is, however, you can get your copy on July 28th. We’ll keep you posted with further updates.

MAXWELL EXCITED FOR GRAMMY AWARDS

Maxwell took an eight year hiatus from music but returned with the critically acclaimed Blacksummer’s Night – which is up for six GRAMMY nominations. The “Bad Habits” singer told us what the recognition means to him.

HAITI- MTV REALLY CARES!!

After the tragic earthquake in Haiti last week, many people have been sending donations and various forms of aid to the region. In the last few days it has been announced that George Clooney in association with MTV will be broadcasting a benefit concert with some of the biggest acts in the wor...ld performing.

Two-Hour Special from Los Angeles, New York and Haiti to Air Friday, January 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti, MTV Networks is presenting "Hope for Haiti," a global telethon to air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and 7:00 p.m. CT.

“Hope for Haiti” will also be made available to MTV Networks International, CNN International and National Geographic channels worldwide.Leading the charge for “Hope for Haiti” will be George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN’s Anderson Cooper from Haiti. The two-hour telethon will be broadcast from New York City and Los Angeles, and will feature musical performances and celebrity appearances to be announced prior to the event, as well as live news reports from CNN. "Hope for Haiti" will be produced by Joel Gallen, Tenth Planet Productions, in collaboration with MTV Networks and George Clooney.

All proceeds will be split evenly among five relief organizations currently operating in Haiti: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Yele Haiti Foundation (www.yele.org – text to give at 501501).

Facebook and MySpace have also signed on as official social media partners to help drive donations and tune-in to the telethon.The show will be broadcast This Friday on ALL MTVs international channels. Gang of Instrumentals kicks off 2010 in style at The Lyric

The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino is proud to once again host the wildly popular Gang of Instrumentals for a once-off performance on 23 January this year in what promises to be an exciting and affordable evening of entertainment.

The urban pop-group's memorable appearance at the venue was one of the highlights at The Lyric last year, and this show promises to be even bigger and better. Expect to hear the band play many of its smash hits, such as Shake it, Oh Yeah, Woza December and the new single, The Craziest Sound.

Gang of Instrumentals - also affectionately known as GI - is a critically-acclaimed South African urban-pop group, founded in 2002. The Johannesburg-based group consists of Tumi 'Lady Naturelle' Masemola, Mandla N- Pimville Spokesman, and 'Bongo' Riot Zungu. Their innovative musical style is a mixture of hip hop, street rap, pop, soul, R&B, ragga, reggae and rock, with elements of kwaito and house.

This trio is one of the most successful and favourite independent groups in South Africa, and recently landed the coveted Best Urban Pop Album at the South African Music Awards (SAMA) for 2009. They have released 3 albums and are in the process of completing their 4th album to be released in May 2010.

The show takes place on Saturday 23 January at 20:30.

CHRIS BROWN MATURES ON GRAFFITI

Yeah. first of all I gots to agree with the title of this article. Chris Brown real did mature on his latest project. The one thing Chris Brown aimed to do on his Graffiti album was to explore his creativity and writing talents. The “Crawl” singer explained how he’s grown as an artist.

"Creatively, definitely my writing. I think being able to write more songs and focus on putting my thoughts and feelings into words, especially with the lyric and melody. That wasn’t my biggest challenge but it was the thing I learned the most off of this album because I wrote on ever song. So it was kinda just me really feeling that vibe.”

Brown has chosen "Pass Out" as the third official single from his album. Graffiti is in stores now, and believe me, he ain't trying to sell it for 99cents.

OMARION: "HELP HAITI, DON’T BUY MY ALBUM"

Aowa, LOL, might this be one of O's stunts to push his album. With all the damage the earthquake that struck Haiti has caused, Omarion took to his Twitter account to urge people to help out – even if it means not buying his album. The former B2K lead singer wrote: “I’d rather you all take the time to donate to Haiti…get my album another time.”

This might be one of two things... it's either he is trying to use that reverse psychology on us, or he really means it.

He then added he wants to organize a benefit concert and urges everyone to visit Care.org to help those in need.

In some realter news, According to HitsDailyDouble.com, Omarion’s third solo album, Ollusion, is projected to sell 18 to 22-thousand copies in its first week. The “I Get It In” singer released the effort via his new imprint on EMI Records. His previous disc, 2006’s 21, landed at number one in the Billboard 200, selling 119-thousand in its opening week.

KE$HA TOPS BILLBOARD HOT 100 CHART

Well, it seems lik that dollar sign Ke$ha's name isn't a mistake after all. The pop singer tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth straight week with "TiK ToK." Meanwhile, another song off her number one album Animal, "Blah Blah Blah" featuring 3Oh!3, is this week’s biggest debut, coming in at number seven. Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” holds steady at number two, while "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys climbs up one spot to number three. Iyaz’s “Replay” slides one notch to number four and Owl City’s “Fireflies” holds the five spot.

LEONA LEWIS GETS INJURED

I really love and respect Leona, but I don't think animal do. Leona Lewis was thrown off a horse she was riding last week, but the singer-songwriter didn’t let it ruin her New Years Eve. According to the New York Post, Lewis was taken to a hospital after the incident last Wednesday, where she was treated and put on crutches, but she resiliently showed up at Robin Thicke’s party in Las Vegas to ring in the New Year. A source says that she leaned against her boyfriend all night because she didn’t want to be photographed on crutches.

According to BallerStatus.com, Canibus is currently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album, Melatonin Magik. The lyricist, who previously beefed with LL Cool J, has recorded an Eminem diss track called “Air Strike (Pop Killer).” The follow-up to 2007's For Whom the Beat Tolls will drop on February 9th.

Rihanna has definitely moved on from her controversial relationship with Chris Brown. JustJared.com reports the “Hard” songstress was spotted poolside kissing and hugging Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player Matt Kemp while vacationing in Mexico. The pair has previously denied rumors of their relationship status, but you know how these celebrities roll. Look at these pics and tell me they ain't dating. The baseball star recently followed Ri Ri to her New Year’s Eve concert held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Kemp is 25 years old.

LIL WAYNE PLAYS JESUS CHRIST?

I have always thought of Jesus as a good boy and Lil Wayne as a bad boy- Nothing similar indeed. Now what is this we hear??

We’ve just learned Lil Wayne will play the voice of Jesus Christ in T-Pain’s upcoming special on the Cartoon Network. The show is titled Freaknik and is based on the spring breaks in Atlanta that were shut down in the 90’s. Details surrounding the show are sparse, however we do know that the series will launch in March. HAAIBO!!! UWRONGO!!

LIL WAYNE GETS PUSHED BACK

Attention Lil Wayne fans! Your favorite emcee has unfortunately decided to delay his upcoming Rebirth album again. According to Weezy’s Twitter account, you can expect to grab his rock-inspired disc sometime in June. I'm not a rock fan, but I definitely wanna hear what my boy got for me. Keep it locked.

ALICIA KEYS AND SWIZZ BUY A HOUSE

Eish, I guess that luck American producer got it going with my dream girl huh?? In the Page Six column of the New York Post, Alicia Keys and her boyfriend, Swizz Beatz, have finally found a home to call their own. The couple has decided on a penthouse across from Gracie Mansion in New York that features three bedrooms, a fireplace, double-height ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and East River views. My boy Kanye to da...took to his official blog to announce that he is currently working on his next album. The controversial emcee also thanked his fans for their on-going support and promised to create the best music possible “with the same dedication Kobe Bryant has on the court.” His upcoming disc will be the rapper’s fifth studio effort. REMY ZERO DRUMMER PASSES AWAY

On a very sad note, we have learnt that former Remy Zero drummer Gregory Slay recently passed away at the age of 40. The musician suffered from cystic fibrosis, which led to his death. Slay won an Emmy in 2003 for the theme song to Nip/Tuck. In a statement, the band says, “Gregory inspired all who had the chance to see him perform, to hear the music that he made or just to be around his bountiful spirit.” Our condolences to his family, fans and friends from MTV Africa.

NEW MICHAEL JACKSON SONG LEAKED

I bet on my dog's food that everyone is on the internet now trying to download MJ's recently leaked track. A previously unreleased snippet of a song from the late Michael Jackson has been leaked. According to mtv.com, almost 90 seconds of the song, reportedly called Another Day has turned up online. The track is rumored to be a duet between Jackson and Lenny Kravitz but Kravitz is not heard on the leak. Lenny posted a video message on Monday to respond to the leaked tune, explaining that he did not leak the track, but that what is on the Internet is the song he worked on, just not mixed. According to TMZ.com Jackson’s label, Sony Music, and his estate lawyers are working to get the unfinished song pulled from the Internet as soon as possible. Spokespeople for Jackson could not be reached for comment at press time.
