KANYE CONTEMPLATED SUICIDE ?!?!?!?

According to the Associated Press, Kanye West may have been riding high during the L-A premiere of his new film, Runaway, but he revealed that there were times when he contemplated suicide. The controversial rapper did not specify when he considered taking his own life but he told the audience right before the screening that he “will not give up on life again.” Ye stated, “There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard. I do it for them.” You will be able to watch the rapper’s film debut at 8 PM Eastern on MTV and BET on Saturday.


TIDBIT: After getting his initial artwork banned, MTV News reports ‘Ye has revealed that there will be five different covers for his highly anticipated album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Be sure to grab the physical copy on November 22nd.

SEAN GARRETT SIGNS TO JAY-Z’S ROC NATION

The ever-expanding roster for Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has just recruited a new member. Despite negotiations with Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records, Sean Garrett has announced that he recently signed a deal with Roc Nation/Columbia Records. The Pen, who just leaked the remix for “She Geeked” featuring Busta Rhymes, Ludacris and Twista, will release his debut album early next year!

NE-YO PENS SONGS FOR BIEBER, UNDERWOOD

Billboard.com has learned Ne-Yo is not only putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album, Libra Scale, but he’s also writing for other artists. The “One In A Million” crooner explained that he’s “trying to expand, trying to do it all” by penning songs for pop stars like including Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Rihanna and Beyonce. Ne-Yo says of the Bieber track that he delivered “tangible records, the kind of records that will grow with [Justin] and allow his fans to grow with him.” The songwriter is also looking to get studio time with Jennifer Hudson and Monica before he releases Libra Scale on November 22nd.

SADE TURNED DOWN JAY-Z COLLABORATION

During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Sade explained why she declined to work with rap’s biggest superstar, Jay-Z. The reclusive singer stated that she’s “too scared” to work with other artists. The legendary singer revealed, “It's like The Wizard of Oz. They'll find out there's nothing there. As for collaborations, I'm collaborating with the band and do what we do. I see myself as a member of this band who does these songs that we write.” Sade admits you’d be more likely to pay to sample one of her songs.

KANYE WEST ALBUM COVER BANNED

The intended album cover for Kanye West’s My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy LP was reportedly banned. According to XXLMag.com, the controversial image features a naked black man being straddled by a naked white female. ‘Ye was upset that the artwork getting banned and wrote, “In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now.” The mogul adds that Nirvana once used a cover with real nudity and couldn’t believe his painting wasn’t acceptable. New York Magazine reports West said of the movie, “It's the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world.” He adds, “I've been feeling the idea of the phoenix. "I'm Better Than You"...the title has quite the eyebrow-raiser. It's 18 track mixtape with features including Fat Joe, Bun B, B.O.B and more. From the first track entitled "Diamond Dust" I was like "It looks like I must Take Him Seriously" with lines like "adjust the hook...call it piracy" and "even the flyest Benz couldn't out-class me". The dude...is talented and has various quirky and catchy punches, the flow keeps one entertained and waiting for that next siiiick punchline. The track "I'm Better Than You" has thee dopest lines for me..."Straight gully, whip game ugly, chick game lovely, kick game Chun-Li". You can already imagine that flow."Split flames have you thinkin' this ain't for me, I'm doin' big thangs you a S**t stain...Huggies". "Prepare for the take over, the weight's over, Steve said i flooded the Net and became Noah"...Wooooo!!!



"Legend"....Siiiick beat which HE produced. "I'm married to the game these rapper's K-Fed tryin' to eat off all I did". Hmmmm...then there is Factz on Drakes "Light Up". I don't think he did that beat justice. You take a beat like that you MUST Mutilate It...Come Now Factz. "Mind Got Blown" featuring B.O.B (he killed the hook by thee by), is just a complete song, easy to listen to, which just takes you to another place and dare I say It...blew my mind. As usual...there has to be the tracks for the ladies and those are "Inerlove" and a melodic song about what EVERY dude hates to be in..."Friend Zone". This track...you must just listen to it and feel it, or not.

There definately more of "I'm Better Than You" you yourself must delve in...all in all the mixtape is bonkers and suggest you download it and have a complete sound that caters for almost every aspect of great music.

Skinny/Bright/Tight Clothes Vs Baggy Clothes

There’s a hip hop civil war going on right now, and it’s between the skinnies and the baggies. This has been brewing for the last year and a half now, and dudes is starting to come out of the woodwork with tracks and videos on both sides. Personally, I could care less how tight or baggy a dude’s clothes are, but this is not about what I think. The lines have been drawn, and no white flags have been raised yet, so this war is going to continue.

I notice that it’s usually younger cats that are rockin the tighter, brighter gear and what have you, and that’s fine. They didn’t grow up in the 80’s with us older dudes, and I think we should allow them a pass to wear all the tight-ass Jordache and Cazelles they want. Some of our most iconic figures in hip hop wore that skinny shit…where’s your diss track for them??

And to all the older dudes still rockin the Boot Camp Click baggy jeans and hoodies, let’s move on. You can’t wait for the 90’s fashion to roll back around in a few years and then be like, “Aha! I told ya’ll!!” You look like you wearin your father’s clothes.

And maybe this is what it’s all about: trying to fit into our older brother’s, father’s or grandfather’s shoes. I know when I pick out an outfit to wear, I think about my dad and all the fashion choices he made when he was my age, and I hope that I can look as cool as he did. He continues to be my inspiration.

So, fellas on both sides of this war, let’s pause for a moment and reflect on the subjects of fashion and trends. We may not all agree that skinnies or baggies are better than the other, but we must find some common ground…and we need to learn to get along, because at the end of the day it’s all about hip hop.

Oh, and to all the baggies out there: before we get back to the mid 90’s, we still have to get through Cross Colours and African medallions. I’m just saying.

When it comes to being cool, there are always trends that the popular kids follow. For better or worse, wearing your pants so that they sag is all the rage. But if you don't follow a few tricks of the trade, your pants will end up on the ground and you'll be in a whole host of trouble at school. Here's how to sag your pants.

Things You'll Need:

Baggy pants
Belt

1. Wear your underwear so that it rides up onto your hips. Since sagging is mostly done by guys, underwear is definitely recommended. Pull your underwear up so that it touches your stomach.

2. Put your baggy pants on. No secret here: One leg at a time like everyone else wears their pants.

3. Slide your pants down so that they rest on the large part of your buttocks. No matter who you are in this world, there is some curve to your butt. It may not be a lot, but it's there. Pull your pants down until they are resting below your waist and on the portion of your butt that sticks out the most.

4. Add a belt on your pants to hold them in place. No matter how cool you think you look at school while wearing pants that sag, it can be a pain to spend the entire day pulling them up. Then they fall down and you have to pull them up again. Wrapping a tight belt around your butt (no longer your waist) will help alleviate that problem.

Xbox 720

Xbox 720 is the pre-announcement accepted name for the next Xbox. Xbox 720 is by no means the name of the next system, nor is it even suggesting that there is a new system in the works even. In my mind, Microsoft has got to be working on the Xbox 720. They are slowly losing console sales and the wii is completely dominating the markets.

With an upgrade like the Xbox 720 there would be a huge boost in the Microsoft stock. The Xbox 720 will have a lot to live up too however. They will need a motion sensing system like the Wii, they need to use Blu-Ray discs, and it needs to be powerful, yet affordable. Something the PS3 was unable to master. Playstation hasn’t even profited off of the PS3 yet. That’s not good.

Why should they update now? Well, personally the Xbox 360 is slowing down. If they came out with the best system they’d dominate the market. They already have the best online gaming system. The Xbox 720 could be a dominant system well into 2015 even. There are some photo shopped ideas of the Xbox 720, but none of them are likely legit.

Believe it or not, new systems are generally not a good thing for the companies. The PS3 loses money for Sony when they sell. They make it back in games hopefully. The Xbox 720 would require such advanced software and components that not only will it cost us a lot to purchase, the Xbox 720 will have to sell well below market value to even be close to being competition with the Wii.

To wait or be the first? That’s a tough decision for Microsoft. It could be the difference between a huge profit or lost money. What do you guys think? Should they come out with the Xbox 720?

According to Rap-Up.com, Drake has unleashed the first serving from him highly-anticipated R&B mixtape, It’s Never Enough. The Young Money stand-out sings on a song called “I Get Lonely Too.” Drizzy told MTV News that the material will include new music and not "all the R&B stuff that recently leaked, that’s not for the tape.” It’s unknown when the project will be released for fans, but in the meantime, you can download the first single today.
